Healthy Recipe – Grilled Apples

Need something sweet but healthy too? It’s grilling season, so after you make those burgers, throw some apples on the grill and you’ve got a great dessert!

Grilled Apples
makes 4 servings


  • 4 apples, cored and halved
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon stevia


Preheat grill.

Combine the water and lemon juice in a bowl. Soak the apples in the water and lemon juice mixture. Set aside.

Combine the cinnamon and stevia in a bowl. (I then pour this mixture into an empty spice shaker, but you don’t have to do that.) Set aside.

Remove apples from water mixture and place on the grill. Cook on medium heat, grilling about 6-7 minutes on each side. Remove from grill and place on a pan, sprinkling with the cinnamon and stevia mixture.

I eat these plain when eating healthy, but if not, top with whipped cream or ice cream and serve!
